Match the halves along the edges of the pieces to make complete card suit symbols, heart, club, spade, or diamond. The diamond half is also the top of the spade and the bottom of the heart, while the bottom of the spade and club are also the same. Many challenges are listed on the back including getting 4 different suits in certain rows or columns, or getting all the same suit in a line. One challenge is to have all the suits match in the center, but NOT match all around the edges– for which there are 378,084 solutions. Sounds a little complicated, but my 8-year-old niece was able to understand the idea and solve it. Good for all ages because the challenges range from easy to very difficult. The toughest challenge has only 1 solution.
