This puzzle has 19 pieces, but is surprisingly challenging. Designed and made by William Waite from solid hardwood with red alder pieces and a black walnut base, the puzzle measures just over 4″ x 4″. Based on an ancient Arabic design pattern, this is a tricky brain-teaser type puzzle good for ages 10 to adult. The pieces fit in many ways that don’t lead to a solution, so you will need to backtrack and try something different. Although not an Interlace design, it comes from a similar ancient perforated design. There is one solution engraved on the back so that you can always put it away if you get stuck. Even that is tricky to follow!
